Overnight camp out and all day ride, day and a half includes lunch campfire dinner & breakfast $350 per person. There is nothing like a long horseback ride to build an appetite for a steak dinner cooked over some campfire coals. So many people that do this trip end up coming back for more.
Multiple day pack trips these can be from two days plus, $300 per day per person no limit on days two person minimum. The late season Muzzle loader and Rifle Elk Hunts once again prove to be the best of the best! The Novembert 19-23 late season muzzle loader hunt was fantastic with a 100% kill ratio of 8 for 8 with some nice bulls taken. Then we took some real hammers on our limitted draw hunts in Arizona with a rifle, Dont over look these late season hunts if your looking for a trophy bull !! I dont have all the photos gatherd up from all the hunts this season yet we have been hunting almosty everyday since Aug. 1st so keep checking back I will get them all on by the end of December.

Trophy Pronghorn season is here , We now have a 15 day season on Antelope any 3 days between October 1 -15 our first client just finished up with an hammer buck! Jeff Koster from SD took a 17 inch Boone and Crockett buck on his first day. The remaning hunters come in next week they are doing a combo hunt both Antelope and Elk so more photos to come!

Well our archery season is under way and it has been a slow start with zero rut and heavy rains everyday! From March thru the end of July we had what the old timers call a 100 year drought with dust bowl condtions until first week of Aug. Since then it has been the opposite with rain evryday and heavy rain which is great but it has kept our elk scattered and the rut to a minimum. The bright side is we did kill 6 bulls this past week so we made our 50% kill ratio which is pretty good for archery.
The horn quality is off about 20% best I can tell do to the drought but now the feed is awesome and they should really bounce back next year. We will be starting our final archery hunt this week and bulls are just now starting to rut so we are looking forward to a good week!

Well the 2011 hunting season is here and wow did it start out with a bang. Our very first client of the year was Gene Adams from Manila AR, On his first day we treed two small bear that we let go and turned down several smaller tracks on the second day. The third day was it! he bagged a monster Bear, that is the Pending New Mexico State Record with a green score of 22 5/16 and after the drying period I am confedent that this monster will be the new Record!! We have some real monster Bears on our ranches in New Mexico and we can start Hunting Aug,16th so if your looking for a Trophy Bear dont miss this Hunt!

Trophy Outfitters is extremely excited to announce our new hunting lodge in Arizona.
The lodge is located at 9000 ft, in the heart of the famous White Mountains, 30 miles from the nearest civilization. This area is known to produce some of the largest bull elk in the World! But that is not the best part, it is also loaded with Trophy muledeer, coues deer, turkey, monster black bear,and some of the best mountain lion habitat in the Southwest. This area allows us to guarantee you a no draw tag for trophy bear, mt. lion, turkey and archery mule deer and coues deer.

The Arizona draw results are out for Elk and Antelope and congrats to those of you that drew these awesome tags! For those of you that are in our program if I have not contacted you that means you didn't draw but you are welcome to call me and talk about it. We had quite a few draw tags that has opened up some New Mexico landowner tags so please call if you would like to hunt New Mexico this year, these will go fast!

Well have not done a report in awhile I have been in Mexico taking my Marlin clients for the last 8 weeks , It was a great time with lots of big fish! Time to start getting ready for the Elk season and it looks like it is going to be a good one with these early rains and good feed we should have some good horn growth this year. I have a couple of openings for Archery Elk September 1-6 and have theses hunts reduced to $5,950 also had two cancelations on my Trophy Antelope hunt last 3 years have been takeing 75% b/c bucks and a 100% kill ratio $4,950. BIG TIME WINTER STORMS : Record winter snow makes outlook for 2010 awesome. For the past couple years we have had a drought in southwestern New Mexico resulting in poor horn growth. We have always had the genetics for monster bulls we just need good winter snow and spring feed to produce record class Elk, This year we have it and it should be a great year in the Gila (southwestern New Mexico). The New Mexico draw for big game is coming up the deadline is April 7th , So give us a call and we will do our best to get you a tag of a lifetime.

Tthe October Muzzleloader and Rifle hunts were a huge success with over an 85% success ratio. Our Muzzleloader season was unreal everyone but one hunter took a Trophy Bull and he had several chances, and 90% of those were 6x6,s. The rifles hunts were awesome also on the first hunt we took 9 hunters and took 8 Trophy Bulls most all taken were also 6x6. We have been hunting almost every day so I will try and get these photos rounded up and get them on our web site . I know alot of you will be Whitetail hunting this month so good luck!

We just finished up ou Trophy NM youth hunt and wow we killed some great bulls. Spencer Blohm and Fred Blohm from Yuma AZ both toook great bulls pushing the 340 B/C and Ethan Hale took a monster thats 370/ B/C . The bulls were screaming and made for a awesome hunt. If you have any young hunters under 17 this one of the best hunts in the USA for a young hunter to kill a trophy bull!

We just finished up with our Trophy muzzleloader muledeer hunt and we really had a good hunt with a 100% kill with the top buck scoring just over 180B/C. This is a great hunt if you like big mulies still in the velvet we allway have a high success ratio. Two of our archery Elk hunters stayed over for this hunt and did both Tod Librandi from PA. Took home two nice Trophies

I just spent this past week over in the Gila at my hunting lodge getting it ready for the September 1st Archery elk season. Every morning and afternoon I spent scouting, the past few weeks it has really dried out and I was worried that the bulls wouldn't finish with good horn growth. But I believe all is well I saw approximately 20 bulls and some of them had completely stripped their velvet and some were not rubbed at all. Most all seemed to have good tops and last night we glassed an 8x7 that is a 380 class bull. He was not rubbed at all and a smaller 330 bull that was with him was completely stripped ! Anway if it stays dry the waterholes should be excellent the first season. Next week I will be getting our trail cams out so hopefully some good pics to come. Shoot strait! Van Hale

The afternoon thunder storms are hitting almost everyday not area wide but dumping good rain in areas. I recived a call from one of our ranchers reporting they got a great rain that filled up all their dirt tanks, this is great news for archery season we love to set up the Double Bull blinds on these water holes, he also reported that he saw 12 bulls on one of them!!

Just returned from a 5 day scouting trip to our leases in Kansas it looked great out there., Talked with all the farmers that we lease from and they reported good crops and were just starting to harvest their wheat while I was there. I released all 10,000 acres that we have had and we are hoping to draw enough hunters this year , as last year was the first year that Kansas went to a draw system and we only drew a few hunters. So we are keeping our fingers crossed until the draw results come out in July.

Made a scouting trip to my Antelope ranch today just west of our new lodge. It rained last night and water was puddled up in the road , great news ! we're going to have some more B/C bucks again this year . I glassed up over 15 bucks this morning in one hour, last year 3 of our bucks made B/C. Due to a couple of cancellations we have 2 antelope tags available for this October. If interested give me a call.

Heading down to Mexico this weekend to firm up all our deer leases, it's going to be hot!! this time of year in the 100 degree range. This country grows huge bucks and its one of the most enjoyable hunts of the year. These bucks rut in January and we can hunt them with a rifle, last year we took two that scored over 200 B/C. The border is no problem where we go and getting your guns across is easy. Have a couple spots left for this January so give me a call. I also have a boat down there so I think I will do a little Marlin fishing too.

Arizona offers an excellent Trophy Mule Deer Archery hunt in January. If your into spot and stalking big Mulies in the rut then I have a great and affordable hunt for you. We offer a 5 to 7 day hunt in Southern AZ FOR $2,950, thats right ! includes guiding , lodging, meals. In the past we have had near 100% shooting and around 50% kill on 170 or better bucks. No draw so getting a tag is no problem!

The early June rains have greened up the country and the outlook for this coming hunting season is good. The forecast is predicting an early monsoon and it looks like rain today, so we should have some good feed for these trophy bulls to finish their horn growth on. I made it out to the ranches a few days back and saw some good bulls, So I am pumped up now and can't wait for hunting season to get here and get after them!! I still have a couple private land tags so give me a call and lets go hunting. Thanks Van Hale see ya next week .
